The **Movements** area covers everything that happens when inventory leaves (or is prepared to leave) storage. It has three sub-sections:

| Section | What it covers |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Packing Lists](/guides/movements/packing-lists/packing-lists-overview) | Pick-and-ship documents that bundle inventory items for a specific delivery. |
| [Containers](/guides/movements/containers/containers-overview) | Shipping containers that carry goods between ports or depots. |
| [Reports](/guides/movements/movements-reports) | Aggregated movement activity over time. |

## Movements Dashboard

The movements dashboard (`/movements`) gives you a live summary:

* **Recent packing list activity** — The most recently updated packing lists across your organisation.
* **Status counts** — How many packing lists are in each stage of the lifecycle.
You can filter the dashboard by project or client to narrow the view.

## Roles and access

Users with the **Truck Broker** role see a filtered version of packing lists — only those explicitly assigned to their broker company are visible. See [Settings → Truck Brokers](/settings/truck-brokers) for how to configure this.
