Organization Settings

Before you start managing inventory, you need to configure your organization’s core settings. These preferences control everything from how your paperwork looks to the units of measure used across the platform.

Access these settings by clicking on the Settings gear icon in the main navigation bar.

General Settings

The General tab controls the global behavior and branding of your workspace.

1. Branding & Paperwork

To ensure your Packing Lists and invoices look professional:

  • Logo: Upload a horizontal logo.
    • Recommended Dimensions: 560×156560 \times 156 px.
    • Aspect Ratio: 3.6:1\sim 3.6:1.
  • Packing List Footer: Add custom legal disclaimers, contact info, or “Thank You” messages that will appear at the bottom of every generated PDF.

2. Regional Preferences

Set your Default Units of Measure (UoM) here.

  • Once set, these units (e.g., kgkg, lbslbs, mm, ftft) will be applied as the default across all inventory views and data entry forms.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Required Truck Photos: Enable this to enforce a strict checkout policy. When active, users must upload at least 2 photos (e.g., loaded trailer and seal) before a Packing List can be transitioned to the in_transit status.

Clients

Manage the companies you are moving freight for.

  • Currently, you can add and manage Client Names.
  • Roadmap: We are currently adding support for Client Emails to enable automated invoice delivery.

Locations

Locations represent the warehouses, ports, or job sites where your inventory is stored or moved.

When adding a location, you will need to provide:

  • Location Type: (e.g., Warehouse, Port, Construction Site).
  • Full Address: Including City, State/Province, and Postal Code.

Accurate location data is vital for our upcoming Storage Billing engine to calculate tax rates and regional storage costs correctly.

Team Management

Onboarding a large team? Instead of adding users one-by-one, you can create Invite Links:

  1. Set a Maximum Usage limit (e.g., 10 uses).
  2. Set an Expiration Date (e.g., link expires in 7 days).
  3. Share the link via Slack or Email.

Individual user management is handled via the Organization Manager integrated into the header.

Truck Brokers

Truck Brokers are specialized partners in your organization. Adding a broker here allows you to:

  • Assign specific movements and Packing Lists to them.
  • Link Truck Broker Users to their respective agencies so they can log in and see only the freight assigned to them.

Required Info:

  • Brokerage Name
  • Primary Contact Name & Email

Next Steps

Once your organization is set up, you are ready to define your Inventory Fields. This allows you to track specific data like POPO numbers, container IDs, or component colors.
